    Reporting to the Head of Market Risk EMEA, the Intern is responsible for the understanding and reporting of all components of accounting P&L, market risk indicators and regulatory capital charges for Commodity and GSCS activities, in conformity with regulations and internal risk processes and policies, as well as the group’s operational standards and requirements.  In doing so, the Intern ensures the daily control, certification and analysis of all P&L and risk indicators and the monitoring of own funds requirements.

    The Intern will work in close collaboration with the Transverse office manager in cooperation with the Forward Risk Manager. (FRM)

    Main responsibilities

    • Responsible for the understanding and reporting of all component of accounting P&L, market risk indicators and regulatory capital charges for Commodity and Global Structured Credit & Solutions activities
    • Back up for the Static Data management and dynamic data validation
    • Producing and reporting of all indicators – including as a first priority those specified in Risk Mandates (qualitative indicators such as authorized products, currencies and quantitative limits such as Notionals, FxWeightedRisk, Sensitivities, Risk Indicators: VaR, sVaR, Stress Tests, IRC, RIM and SRAB/ Volker indicators) on a daily basis
    • Controlling, analysing and certifying all the indicators mentioned above focusing on daily variations as well as intraday moves in respect of the corresponding set of limits
    • Communicating with BLs and FRM in case of limits breaches and loss alerts. Day-to-day interaction with trading operators
    • Producing P&Ls (including inter alia Economic P&L, Actual P&L, Hypothetical P&L, Risk Theoretical P&L);

    Who you are

    • A quantitative background in science, maths or engineering
    • Financial market knowledge on derivative products for commodity asset class
    • Excellent knowledge of Excel spreadsheets creation / maintenance, VBA and SQL
    • Good presentation and synthesis skills
    • Detailed oriented and ability to work independently with ability to communicate efficiently (orally and by writing)
    • Strong knowledge of current financial regulations is a plus
    • Knowledge of Sophis Commodity is a plus
