    Capital Risk Solutions Associate

    • You’ll play an important part in contributing to the design and development of risk mitigation strategies and execution for our portfolios
    • This is a highly visible and collaborative role and you'll have the opportunity to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders while making a real impact with your work
    • You’ll support in developing innovative and market leading solutions to help progress the CRS risk mitigation toolkit

    What youll do

    As a Capital Risk Solutions Associate, you’ll support external investor discussions in respect of the portfolio, assisting with development and maintenance of a deep and broad market knowledge of asset pricing and sales volumes.

    Additionally, you’ll support a pipeline of transactional activities across a range of instruments, including single name trading, credit risk insurance, credit default swaps and securitisation and other risk transfers.

    Your role will also involve:

    • Supporting capability for the bank to execute sustainably on risk mitigation activities across single names and portfolios
    • Assisting in the development of repeatable transaction capability to drive process consistency in risk mitigation
    • Supporting collaboration with market-facing colleagues to understand investor requirements, market dynamics and best practices for transaction execution
    • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure compliance with transactional governance
    • Proactively identifying, managing, and escalating risks to support the delivery of key customer outcomes

    The skills youll need

    To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have a thirst to develop extensive market knowledge and experience in active credit portfolio management, some initial market knowledge will be helpful.

    You’ll also need:

    • A good understanding and experience of a specific banking sector
    • An awareness of key capital principles, capital management, portfolio tools and techniques
    • Good interpersonal skills with ability to engage with senior stakeholders credibly
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Familiarity with capital and pricing models would be beneficial
