The Coaching Programme

At NatWest, we strongly believe the finance sector should be accessible for all and should have as few barriers as possible. That’s why we’re delighted to announce that this year in collaboration with Bright Network, we’ll be offering students from traditionally under-represented backgrounds additional coaching throughout our application and assessment processes. 

This will take the form of a series of webinars focussed on different areas of the NatWest application process, for both their internship and graduate oppurtunities. The webinar series consists of three sessions:

  1. Discovery - learn about the initial application process and how to put your best foot forward
  2. Tests & Interviews - gain insight and tips into the assessment process
  3. Assessment Centres - learn how best to prepare and get through this stage

Eligibility

Aimed at penultimate and final year students from lower socioeconomic status groups interested in starting a career with NatWest and the wider finance industry. Candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • You should have been eligible for free school meals between the ages of 11-16

  • Have grown up in a household where no parent/guardian attended university

  • Occupational classification of parents when you were 14 was working class or long-term unemployed (or similar)

  • Have another form of social disadvantage

The process

To get started, fill in a short application form by clicking apply below, and assuming you meet the eligibility criteria you will be sent the details of how to attend the webinars.

Please note you will still need to also submit an application to NatWest directly for your chosen programme. We will cover this initial application process in the first webinar.

Dates

The coaching sessions will run throughout September so please get your application in as soon as possbile to avoid missing out. Once you have applied for the coaching programme the Bright Network team will be in touch with full joining details.

The next sessions are as follows:

  • Tests & Interviews Tues 24th Oct: 16:30-17:30
  • Assessment Centres Thurs 26th Oct: 16:00-17:00
