Programme Essentials
To join one of our 12-month Internships you will be:
- Currently be studying at university and applying for a Placement year in your 2nd or final year or graduating in Summer 2024
- Looking for work experience immediately after completing A-Levels or equivalent course or an Apprenticeship
- Eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 1st July 2024- Friday 18th July 2025
- We strongly advise that you do not apply to more than 1 Internship role to ensure that you are considered for the Internship that you are most interested in and that your skills are aligned to
What will I be doing?
- Design and video support across range of IC channels - monitor and manage digital screens, including content updates, formatting and any technical issues
- Liaise with the Film, TV, Home Entertainment, News and Parks divisions to update digital screen content
- Work with Comms Team to create content for printed media & internal channels for major staff events.
- Create and manage Snapshot, sharepoints, digiscreens, loo media, etc.
- Update internal comms site NBCUNow, including troubleshooting issues for employees, liaising with key stakeholders
- Manage intranet and build/maintain sharepoints, including writing articles and sourcing imagery
- General administration, including maintaining project planners, creating powerpoint slides and presentation material.
- Finance support including maintaining budget trackers, raising POs and handling expenses
- Identify popular content and update our community to encourage sharing and engagement
- Assist with photographing and videoing key internal events
- General support for the Comms team on various projects and campaigns
- Manage databases, log-ins, subscriptions and other platforms.
- Provide day to day administrative support including scheduling and coordinating internal and external meetings, conference calls and preparing meeting material as needed.
- Assist with distribution to all internal comms channels when needed
- Assist on all Events and Campaigns, including Staff Screenings, Team Days, Offsites, Town Halls, holiday parties etc, by facilitating the organisation of presentation material, and logistics.
- Communicating with various offices, catering, facilities and other details required
What do I need to bring to the role?
- Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word to a very high standard
- Photoshop (essential), Illustrator (preferred), InDesign (preferred), social media knowledge (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc.)
- Interest in media and digital communications
- Exceptional eye for detail, design and proof-reading skills
- Strong interpersonal, flexible and collaborative approach to work well in a team and across businesses
What will I learn from this opportunity?
