    Job mission

    New Balance are offering a 1 year paid internship to an undergraduate student, currently in penultimate year of study, with a passion for Marketing and Football. The role will support the Global Football Brand Marketing team in their work to deliver global football marketing campaigns across players, clubs and products. Training and support will be given and you will gain a broad knowledge of a global brand.

    This placement opportunity will start on Monday 10th June 2024 and will be based in the Head Office (Warrington) full time.

    Major accountabilities

    Social Media Marketing and Paid Media

    • Support on creating launch plans and presentations for launch moments.
    • Provide input and insight into NB football social content plans across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X. Plus emerging social media platforms.
    • Support on community engagement across channels
    • Setup, lead and creatively input into weekly and monthly social media meetings.
    • Support on the paid distribution activity and paid reporting
    • Support on uploading social content to our asset management portal, Widen.
    • Support launch summaries by creating reports to detail key social media stats and metrics.

    Product, Photoshoots and Communication

    • Support on ordering and organising product for photoshoots and support at photoshoots.
    • Data entry responsibility, to upload key information such as launch dates and product styles.
    • Support on seeding of product to influencers and reviewers.
    • Support across the grassroots projects and manage product deliveries for the projects.
    • Organise the signed merchandise inventory and send to key internal stakeholders.
    • Complete regular analysis of football industry launches and presenting findings to the team.

    Key requirements for success

    • Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject such as Marketing or Business.
    • Must be able to provide right to work in the UK.
    • Strong passion for football and the football industry with proven interest in the sport.
    • Experience in and strong interest in using social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
    • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to cope in a fast-paced environment.
    • Continuous improvement mindset with desire to take on new projects and development opportunities.
    • High level of attention to detail and a team player.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Results driven - follows through to conclusion on all projects/commitments.
    • Some travel may be required.
