    Job mission

    This role is within the Accounts Payable Function of New Balance. We are a large and growing business where the Accounts Payable team run a shared service centre across UK, France, Germany and Benelux. No experience is required for this role and there are many development opportunities for more experience as time goes on.

    Major accountabilities

    • Accounts Payable mailbox management
    • Supplier statement account reconciliation
    • Communication with suppliers and other NB departments on payment dates for invoices
    • Daily post management – Scanning post and emailing to relevant team member
    • Weekly Housekeeping on Accounts Payable ledgers
    • Invoice processing using OCR technology

    Development areas

    • Cash Posting onto the ledgers
    • 2 and 3 way invoice matching to purchase orders and receipts
    • Processing invoice approvals for payment runs
    • Payment runs

    Requirements for success

    • University degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Studies
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
    • Ability to develop and build good customer relations both internally & Externally
    • Excellent numeracy, keyboard skills & Attention to Detail
    • Able to organise & prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines
    • IT skills - Excel (Vlookups/Pivot Tables) Word.  Aurora (AS400) experience preferable
    • Experience working in a faced paced Accounts Payable environment (preferable)
