As a Graduate Data Scientist apprentice, you will be working towards a Level 7 (MSc equivalent) qualification. Your learning journey will equip you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to become a fully-fledged data scientist by the time you’re finished. You will also be working within one of the biggest employers in the Northeast; our employees and the community where we operate are at the heart of what we do.
You will have the opportunity to manage data from end to end. You will start by querying our databases so you will know/be willing to achieve proficiency in SQL; you will then use R/python to build models and create business insights. Once you have a story to tell you will end your analysis by conveying it to the business in a suitable format, perhaps using Excel, R Shiny or Power BI.
With the support of your manager and mentor, you will have objectives to work towards to make sure you are developing during your time with us. You will have exposure to the responsibilities of wider team by supporting projects and enhancing our current data & analytics capability.
We go beyond the traditional apprenticeship route to offer you the opportunity to help you learn and experience things beyond your role that will support your career development through a team challenge project with our Early Talent community.
Assessment Centres to identify the successful candidate will be held throughout May 2025 at Cobalt Business Park.
