An exciting opportunity to join the commercial client team where you will be given the responsibility for driving revenue on a new product launch from The Times. Money Mentor, is a rapidly growing financial publishing business backed by The Times, it is on a mission to give millions of people the confidence and access they need to take positive steps to manage, protect and grow their money.
The Team
The client team is responsible for building long term strategic, commercial relationships with advertisers directly, maintaining spend as well as delivering incremental revenue growth. The team looks at audience behaviour across brands and platforms, whilst applying sector expertise.
Day to day
- Develop strong relationships with key direct clients to ensure they understand Times Money Mentor and the relevant commercial opportunities. Work with their media agency partners to deliver creative and compelling advertising proposals that meet their needs and commercial objectives.
- Deliver excellent service to clients including delivering effective and creative sales proposals, presentations and negotiations, as well as feedback on campaign performance.
- Generate incremental revenue from existing clients by up-selling additional advertising opportunities, multi-market, cross platform solutions and long term commitments.
- Proactively pursuing and securing advertising business from new clients.
- Work closely with Times Money Mentor editorial, product, affiliate and marketing teams to identify and create new commercial opportunities.
- Work closely with other commercial units including print, digital, regional teams to ensure they understand Times Money Mentor and the relevant commercial opportunities.
- Work closely with our affiliates team to grow and manage affiliate partnerships.
- Developing a commercial strategy and managing the sales pipeline to meet revenue targets.
What we are looking for from you
- Confident in selling and building multimedia campaigns across print, digital, video, audio and events.
- Strong strategic mindset, having the ability to turn insights into ideas.
- Commercially driven and able to build relationships at all levels.
- A proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities and creating commercial strategies.
- Understanding of content marketing and the role it can play in creative solutions.
- Strong networking, negotiating and influencing skills.
- Experience of working within the financial services industry is an advantage.
- Experience of affiliates is an advantage.
