If you have a head for headlines and can perform well under pressure, listen up!

The Sun's Fabulous magazine is looking for an enthusiastic Sub-Editor who doesn't shy away from responsibility and can work across everything from sensitive real-life stories to fashion, food and fact-packed health features.

    Role Description

Ideally, you'll have experience of subbing on women's or lifestyle titles and a vice-like grasp of English grammar, spelling and punctuation. You'll understand the Fabulous reader and contribute ideas for creative captions and sells. You won't be afraid to ask questions and work with the team to make the magazine the best it possibly can be, and if the proverbial hits the fan, you keep calm and carry on.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Ensure copy is error-free, factually correct, adheres to Fabulous house style, and entertains and informs readers.
    • Suggest creative, original and inspiring headlines, sells, captions and coverlines.
    • Perform essential admin tasks on the Production desk to help the magazine workflow run smoothly.
    • Communicate questions effectively and problem solve.

    Key skills:

    • Proven subbing track record.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to remain organised and unflappable under pressure.
    • A whizz at Adobe Indesign and familiar with magazine workflows.
