As a Business Analyst you will be working within the Ecommerce Marketing team engaging with senior stakeholders to determine the contribution that business and IT improvements can make to achieving business objectives; defining approaches, conducting feasibility studies and overseeing the definition and implementation of holistic solutions.
As a Business Analyst you will work within an agile team, be responsible for assessing the business needs, documenting current workflows and processes and communicating requirements for future online developments and system updates. These requirements will then be used by Ecommerce technology teams to deliver these developments. You will ensure that all aspects of these developments are working effectively and that they meet requirements and continue to exceed customer and business expectations.
We can offer hybrid working with this role with a mix of office and remote working.
About the role
- Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of the department and the organisation as a whole in relation to a specific project/task.
- Work with internal & external stakeholders where relevant to understand and investigate the service/function/product in question.
- Analyse your findings and document the requirements in user stories. These requirements will then be used by Ecommerce to deliver this development/system update.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand the needs of the business and translate into detailed requirements, considering potential risks attached to suggestions you have proposed.
- User stories & acceptance criteria need to cover all aspects of the business requirements including wireframes/flow diagrams/process workflows/screenshots where required.
- Consider the opportunities and potential risks attached to the suggestions you have made.
- Review, challenge and redefine existing processes, by thoroughly understanding key business processes for Next Online
- Present to stakeholders, engaging and managing their expectations.
- Support eCommerce and product owners throughout the project lifecycle including assisting with testing and rollout.
- Understanding customer needs through feedback and analysis, ensuring that data is at the heart of all decisions.
- Communicate the benefits of the project across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern.
About you
- Hands-on experience of business analysis within retail,, having worked in the digital / ecommerce sector.
- Can quickly and accurately identify any issues or risks associated with a project as well as defining a solution.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties.
- A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change.
- Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach to defining success supported by analytical data.
- Experience of working in Agile environments and working with Agile / SCRUM methodologies.
- Highly motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude, who is able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Google for business / Mircrosoft Office proficient.
- Not essential: experience using tools such as Azure Dev Ops / JIRA or similar
- Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach.
