Key responsibilities
- The equivalent of an assistant management accountant role, but incorporated within a practice
- Supporting the management of a portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for ensuring their bookkeeping, management reporting and any ad-hoc tasks are prepared to a high standard and on a timely basis
- Preparation of the bookkeeping on Xero
- Preparation of management accounts and reports
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Contacting suppliers to verify bank details and processing payments, initially onto our internal system and eventually onto our client’s online banking platform
Attributes, requirements and skills
- Bookkeeping to AAT Level 2 or equivalent preferred, school leavers and graduates considered
- Committed to maintaining their technical knowledge to a high level
- Competent using MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Competent using Xero
- Good people and communication skills, including telephone manner
- Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and focus
