About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Internal Communications Officer to join our Internal Communications team at NFU Mutual part of our wider Communications & Reputation function. This role offers the opportunity to help shape how we communicate across the business, building a shared understanding of who we are and where we’re going. As part of a collaborative and creative team, you’ll play a key role in delivering clear, engaging, and impactful internal communications that support our strategic objectives. You’ll work closely with stakeholders at all levels to understand key messages and translate them into compelling content across a range of formats, including blogs, infographics, videos, articles, and podcasts. With a strong editorial eye and a proactive mindset, you’ll also advise on the most effective communication channels and approaches to achieve maximum impact.

You’ll coordinate and contribute to the delivery of planned, group-wide communications by working with Internal Communications Business Partners, Change Consultants, and subject matter experts. You'll ensure messages are delivered on time, with consistency and quality, and always aligned with business priorities and regulatory standards.

About you

You’re a collaborative team player who takes ownership of your contributions and thrives on supporting shared success. You’re confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, knowing when to challenge and how to influence to achieve the right outcomes.

With solid experience in operational communications planning, you’re comfortable making autonomous decisions and navigating a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You’re a strong communicator with a curious mindset and proven copywriting skills, able to craft clear and engaging content across a range of channels.

  • The ability to be highly organised and adept at juggling multiple tasks
  • You understand how to prioritise effectively.
  • You’re also familiar with using digital systems to upload and manage content, and you appreciate the value internal communications bring to employee engagement and organisational success.
