We now have an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join our Central Services Team as a Graduate Trainee – NYES Project Officer.
North Yorkshire Education Services (NYES) is a commercial operation, achieving over £50 million turnover per annum, with ambitions to grow. Within the next 10 years it plans to be the leading supplier of business solutions and services to the education sector across the UK and generate significant levels of profit.
All of its profit is reinvested back into North Yorkshire, protecting frontline services and communities. NYES hub covers the areas of Operations and Sales and supports the teams specialising in Professional Services, Facilities Management and Education & Skills.
NYES incorporates a number of commercial business functions internally, essential to the commercial success the traded service portfolio delivers externally, giving a graduate the opportunity to develop a range of knowledge and experience of these functions, as well as an understanding of how they work together to achieve the corporate commercial agenda.
Working within NYES provides a unique learning opportunity, working for NYCC within a commercial environment, one which requires innovative, creative and dynamic approaches to the changing needs of the education sector, which contributes to income generation for reinvestment in core services.
This graduate opportunity will provide an individual with a grounding in business operations, customer management and business growth.
Key Information
- Salary: 1-6 months £21,968, rising to £22,777 after 6 months and then £24,948 for the final 12 months of the scheme.
- Contract: 18 months fixed term position as part of the NYCC graduate programme
- Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
