Are you a recent conservation, ecology, or land management graduate?

We have an opportunity to join the Conservation team as our Conservation Graduate, supporting the team members to carry out conservation activities.

You will maintain up to date records on GIS and utilise data to inform the wider business of conservation information. In addition, you will provide administrative support to our Branch Out grant scheme which includes data collation.

Through supporting colleagues to collate stories from across the Environment & Sustainability Team, for internal & external communications you will help promote awareness of environmental issues and the action required to address them.

As part of this role you will support on small conservation projects. This includes supporting your Conservation team leader with administration of the WINEP (Water Industry National Environment Programme).

You will support conservation team members with seasonal ecological site surveys and maintenance of the survey data matrix.

You will have proven communication skills, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively, and build positive working relationships. Using your ability to actively listen to others to make appropriate recommendations.

You will be able to partner collaboratively with teams, using your organisation skills to plan, coordinate and deliver to timescales. You will be well versed in following processes and procedures.

The successful candidate will work outdoors in all weathers, across varied terrain, with some manual handling and lone working required. Interviews will take place week commencing 18 November. Please note this role is employed by our partner Randstad. For the purposes of advertising this role is advertised in Essex too but there is only 1 role.
