We have an exciting opportunity for an Undergraduate Laboratory Analyst to join the Laboratories and Sampling team. This is a key role focusing on analysing water according to Drinking Water Inspectorate and Environment Agency regulations.
If you have an enthusiasm for science and using a variety of analytical techniques to confirm the water in our region is the quality we expect, then this opportunity will hit the mark.
You will gain invaluable hands-on analytical testing experience, as well as leading and delivering an improvement project which will include working with stakeholders to understand the problem, identifying logical solutions with the team and delivering the solution. You will also support the team in achieving their business objectives and targets.
About you
If you are currently Studying a Science-related degree (eg Chemistry) and are looking for a 12 month placement during your 2nd or 3rd year of study we want to hear from you.
You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, be able to work in a team and be able to meet challenging deadlines. You will have good attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
We are looking for you to be creative and to highlight potential improvements to ways of working. To help you be successful in the role you will need to have great IT skills including fully conversant in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
