Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is recruiting a Business Data Analyst to lead on the improvement of business data management and reporting, across our teams. The vacancy is based out of our Glasgow office but we would like to hear from candidates across the UK, as location is flexible.
The role will support internal and external reporting of Catapult results and effective management of customer relationships, projects and knowledge.
What will I do?
- Drive the business data management and reporting processes
- Work with IT to ensure systems deliver on data needs
- Play an integral part in Catapult's impact reporting and evaluation
- Work with business development and project delivery to support data needs
- Analyse data quality and audit compliance in line with procedures and standards
- Improve curation of historic and customer data
- Design data queries and reports to meet business needs
- Support integration of external data into business insights
- Support production of management, board and stakeholder reports
What are we looking for?
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or other quantitative field, or equivalent experience
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of database technologies
- Experience using data manipulation, analysis, reporting and presentation tools e.g. Power BI
- Experience defining, applying and monitoring quality standards
- Ability to develop processes for simplification and consistency of data entry/management
- Ability to decipher and organise large amounts of data
