    The role

    As a Graduate Engineer, your role will be to develop, lead and support projects, programmes and tests which contribute to technology commercialisation in the offshore renewable energy sector.

    You will have the opportunity to be involved in technical research as an individual and as part of an expert team focused on technical delivery on a broad range of research topics from sensor systems to corrosion protection, the scope will be varied and challenging so that no two days will be the same. 

    In your role, you will have exposure to projects that will require engagement with key stakeholders within the industry and the supply chain. You will have opportunities to present project outcomes to your fellow colleagues as well as the wider industry.

    Graduate Engineers will also have full exposure to the entirety of a project lifecycle, from conception through to delivery and dissemination, ensuring all work is underpinned by sound engineering principles, sustainable processes and robust procedures.

    What do I need to qualify for this role?

    • You will have a degree level or equivalent background in Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science or complex technology such as IT, telecoms, space, automotive, rail, etc.
    • Thorough knowledge of basic engineering principles in one or more of the following engineering disciplines: Mechanical; Structural; Hydrodynamics; Materials
    • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Renewable Energy Industry; Offshore Engineering; Engineering Design and Analysis; Industrial Manufacturing;
    • Pro-active team member/problem solver with the ability to communicate effectively.
    • Proficient in standard software packages such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Motivated and strong team player – working individually, within and across multi-functional project teams.
    • Proficient in written and verbal English;
    • Motivation and initiative to continually develop own abilities and technical skills.
    • Good time management skills with the ability to plan and manage own utilisation
