    Oliver Wyman is seeking an Internal Communications Intern to join the team in our London office!

    The opportunity

    We offer a part-time, paid internship to talented students or recent graduates who are passionate about writing and keen to advance their career by joining the Internal Communications team in our global company.

    We're looking for someone who can start in the role ASAP, and the internship will last for 6-12 weeks.

    Key responsibilities

    Content development, Writing and Editing

    • Copyediting and proofreading of all internal communications, including those sent from CEO.
    • Collect and write submissions for the firm’s regular “This-Week-in-OW” post and share on the firm-wide Slack channel.
    • Support with ideating and writing stories for firm’s intranet homepage.
    • Support in the creation and development of European internal communications.

    Campaign development and project management

    Help progress various internal communication projects and campaigns on a variety of topics (firm strategy, client work, social impact projects, leadership changes, Mental Health & Wellness initiative, etc.) in the form of:

    • Help with writing and formatting of internal broadcast e-mails from senior leaders to all employees.
    • Work closely with the firm’s global Mental Health & Wellness team to develop and execute internal communications campaigns.
    • Help develop podcast channels for senior leaders to share with all employees (coordinate logistics, content creation, overseeing the audio recording team).
    • Assist in the launch and implementation of hybrid work programs, as part of a firm-wide ‘Evolving Together’ initiative.
    • Support the UK & Ireland office to develop new engagement strategies and maintain some of the content on the local office intranet page.

    About you

    • Coursework in creative writing, journalism, communications, marketing, or related.
    • Experience in writing for school newspaper or publication is ideal.
    • Knowledge of design programs, MS Office Suite (especially Outlook), G-Suite, podcasting technologies, LinkedIn, Slack, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, WordPress, SharePoint Online, Java Script and HTML is ideal or a willingness to learn some of them quickly.
    • Passion for ideas and strong intellect .
    • Be comfortable in a fluid or unstructured environment where priorities often shift rapidly.
    • Have strong planning skills and willingness to learn.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
    • Be anti-hierarchical, anti-bureaucratic, and not take oneself too seriously.
    • Have the ability to manage conflict of competing resources.

    • Sense of humour and ability to come up with new and creative story ideas, which may range from serious to more light-hearted, human interest stories.
    • Creative and innovative thinker who pushes boundaries when necessary.
