The Corporate Division is responsible for centralized functions that include Finance and Controlling, HR, IT, Quality Management and Supply Chain Management. It provides essential services and support to all business divisions. Moreover, it is an important project initiator and leader within the international network.
As a Quality Assurance Intern, your role will be based at our UK HQ in Southend-on-Sea and you will work closely with the Quality Engineering team.
You will have exposure to quality control, manufacturing processes and quality engineering activities including new product development. This is a 12-month placement, commencing July 2023.
The role will interface with an existing team of Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers, Quality Control Technicians and Lab test teams, as well as some exposure with Engineering, R&D and Manufacturing teams.
Your Responsibilities
The key responsibilities you will have during your internship includes:
- Actively participate in project activities regarding controls, testing, and inspection
- Support the Engineering Change process as required
- Support the generation and maintenance of control plans and inspection instructions
- Support the Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality engineering functions as directed
- Develop improved or new data tracking / recording systems within the QA team
- Support the QC function including calibration, NC handling and system improvements as directed
- Participation in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
Your Qualification
- You will be an undergraduate studying a degree in an Engineering discipline
- Good Microsoft Excel and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The role requires you to be on your feet for extended periods of time during your general day-to-day activities which includes walking between sites. Some travel may be required to visit subsidiary companies and suppliers.
