Description
Are you ready to kickstart your career in accountancy? Join us as a Trainee Accountant in Stockport. In this role, you will embark on a journey of learning and development, gaining hands-on experience while working alongside seasoned professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting with audit fieldwork, including profit and loss transaction testing, balance sheet transaction testing, and tracing transactions through primary records.
- Contributing to the preparation of accounts for small limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
- Familiarising yourself with various accounting software such as Xero, SAGE, and QuickBooks.
- Collaborating with team members on larger audit assignments and gaining exposure to tax computations.
About you
Key requirements
- A 2:1 or higher degree in Accountancy or a related subject such as Maths, Economics, or Business.
- Motivation to pursue ACA or ACCA qualifications.
- Open to candidates who are current AAT students.
- A valid driving license and access to a car.
Additional requirements
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work methodically.
- Proficiency in Excel and basic IT software packages.
