The Opportunity
OpenText™ Cloud Platform (OCP) is our next-generation Information Management as a Service platform that enables development and deployment of multi-tenant SaaS applications. We are looking for Associate Software Engineer to join Developer Enablement Team.
To enable our pro code and low code Developer community in building multi-tenant SaaS (Software as a Service) applications, Developer Enablement Team develops the required capabilities on OpenText Cloud Platform.
Working with a team of experienced Product Managers, Engineers and Cloud Operations teams, you will contribute to the implementation of our Developer Enablement roadmap. This is a tremendous opportunity to play an important role in helping deliver the next generation developer tools and environments that OpenText is building for OCP developers.

What it takes
We are looking for an individual with a passion for delivering quality software and the ability to contribute within a team of senior, opiniated and passionate software engineers and architects. Applicants will have software engineering experience and have cloud experience.
You will be passionate about the role the developer plays in bringing new solutions and services to OpenText and serving the needs of the developer community.
You’ll have demonstrable enthusiasm for software engineering with the following essential skills or proven knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
- Solid Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and design patterns
- Sound technical skills with a passion for delivering high quality code and contributing to a culture of technical excellence and innovation
- Knowledge of modern web development stacks/architectures and libraries (spring Cloud, Spring Boot, Microservices, RESTful webservices, React, Node.JS)
- Experience working in any one or more public cloud services like GCP, AWS, Azure
- Curiosity of working as a member of an agile team and familiarity with agile planning and estimation techniques with a good understanding of the fundamental rationale for employing an agile approach
- Usage of Engineering practices that compliment an agile approach including test-driven development, continuous integration
- Knowledge of DevOps and Cloud based Application Development and Deployment
- Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
