Oracle Retail Global Business Unit (RGBU) offers the industry’s broadest set of retail-specific solutions, including Merchandising, Supply Chain, Omnichannel, Planning/Optimisation and Analytics. Oracle Retail is searching for a junior member of PMO Project Support team to support projects and programmes focused on the delivery of Oracle Retail Software to our Retail Customers. This is a great role for an ambitious person who has either theoretical or some hands-on Project Management experience, you will be able to grow your Project Management/PMO skills in a fast -moving, complex and international environment.
What you will do
- Support project start up activities:
- Project setup in workspace libraries
- Project setup in our internal project management workbench tool for internal reporting and financial tracking
- Resource setup and tracking with our internal resource analysts, including the tracking of subcontractor resources setup and renewals required, flagging these with the senior team for action.
- Project Quality Assurance and Control activities:
- Timesheet approvals
- Ensuring internal timesheets match customers where applicable for invoice tracking purposes
- Financial tracking support and reporting as requested
- Invoice monitoring and approvals
- Accounts Receivable monitoring
- Highlighting and supporting the implementation of improvements to PMO and PM processes and tools where appropriate.
- Supporting more senior team members as required with:
- Risk and issue tracking and updates
- Project meeting arrangements and minutes
- Backup support for Administrative and Core functions.
- Support project closedown activities
- Ensuring all invoicing is complete and paid
- Triggering internal project close activities
Education
- Degree in Business Management/Administration or similar desirable
Required competencies and skills
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Project Management
- Customer and service-minded
- Good relationship building and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and to defined deadlines in a flexible environment
- Expert skills in MS Office
- Good skills in Microsoft Project desirable, training can be given
- Ability to travel as required, up to 80% of the time
Junior consulting position for those who are continuing to develop their expertise. Receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new projects or assignments.
As a member of a project team, follows standard practices and procedures to analyze situations/data and provide quality work products to deliver functional and technical solutions on applications and technology installations. Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying relevant Oracle methodologies and practices. Implements Oracle products and technology in various industries to meet customer specifications.
1-3 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Demonstrates competence in a minimum of one product or technology area. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
