Born out of a strategic alliance between EDP Renewables and ENGIE, Ocean Winds develops, finances, builds, and operates offshore wind farms all over the world. Ocean Winds is currently present in 10 countries, where it will continue developing ongoing projects in addition to creating new growth opportunities, in the UK alone this consists of 4 projects at varying stages of development: Moray East, Moray West, Caledonia, and Arven.

Ocean Winds UK is looking for motivated university students or recent graduates, who are looking to gain valuable skills and knowledge in the Renewable Energy sector.

The role 

Working as an Intern at Ocean Winds, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Offshore Wind and Renewable Energy sector, working with specialists in their field to develop yourself to your full potential.

Main accountabilities

  • Shadowing colleagues with a variety of tasks, gaining an in-depth understanding of the industry.
  • Supporting and/or leading on projects, making a significant business impact.
  • Learning valuable skills and knowledge, helping to jump-start your career.

Required academic skills

  • On track for academic attainment (or achievement in 2024) of a Bachelors or Masters Degree. A variety of subjects welcome; Engineering, HR, Business, Legal, Geography, Environmental Sciences, etc.

Skills/ competencies

  • Communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
  • Problem-solving capabilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Passionate about the Renewable Energy sector.

Further information

  • The UK has offices in Edinburgh, Fraserburgh, and Buckie. Some travel may be required however this will be communicated to you during the interview process.
  • Working pattern: Full-time (40 hours per week), and part-time working will be considered.
  • Dates: June/ July 2024 till September 2024 (with the possibility of extension).
