    Oxford Nanopore Technologies produces the only sequencing platform that offers real-time analysis (for rapid insights), in fully scalable formats from pocket to population scale, that can analyse native DNA or RNA and sequence any length of fragment to achieve short to ultra-long read lengths.

    We are a multidisciplinary company with opportunities in a wide range of subject areas including Nanopore science, molecular biology and applications, informatics, engineering, electronics, manufacturing, and commercialisation.

    About the role

    Intern positions are available from the Spring of 2024, to suit dedicated undergraduate and postgraduate student scientists studying Computing, Engineering or Software, and who have a curiosity about pursuing a career in compute engineering.

    You will be looking for an authentic and structured intern experience and ideally, be on-course to achieve at least a 2.1 degree at a leading university.

    Details

    • Our programme offers the opportunity to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team collaborating on current and next generation computer hardware, Linux OS and embedded systems.
    • Offering fully hands on roles enabling you to enrich your skills and experience in one or more core aspects of system, electrical or electronic design as well as Linux operating system and software engineering.
    • Full training and mentoring will be provided to support your success.

    Eligibility

    • Successful candidates will be available to accept a minimum 3-month placement, commencing from spring/summer 2024. Specific dates will be discussed at interview.
    • All roles require the intern to work full time hours for the duration of the placement, and be present in our Oxford HQ, on Oxford Science Park
    • Final stage selection will take place in Oxford, or via zoom, week of 19th February 2024
