    About the Role

    We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join our busy researcher marketing team. Responsibilities include implementation of strategic marketing activities across books, journals and online products, under direction of their manager, and based on departmental goals and objectives.

    Core responsibilities of the role include:

    • Utilizing marketing tools such as social media, email, paid advertising, and multimedia to carry out strategic objectives
    • Writing marketing copy for print and digital campaigns
    • Assisting in preparation of marketing reports and plans
    • Communication with internal and external stakeholders
    • Researching markets key to our titles, and carrying out required data analysis
    • Conducting analyses of campaigns and social media channels as part of reporting to key stakeholders

    This role is a 1 year fixed term contract. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

    About You

    Some experience of working within a marketing and/or publishing environment would be preferable but is not essential. The ideal candidate will have:

    Essential:

    • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
    • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and quickly without supervision
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • A strong sense of initiative with the ability to make appropriate suggestions for improvements to both marketing campaigns and working practices
    • Highly creative and have a can-do, positive attitude
    • Willingness to travel

    Desired:

    • Knowledge of social media channels
    • Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), and a knowledge of content management systems would be beneficial.
