    We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented graduate to join our team as an EDS Publication Engineer. If you have a passion for the automotive industry and possess strong technical writing and illustration skills, this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our dynamic team.

    Job Description

    As an EDS Publication Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating and updating technical documentation related to electrical systems and product specifications. Working alongside experienced technical authors and collaborating with engineering teams, you will ensure the accuracy and clarity of our technical publications. An added bonus would be knowledge in using Adobe Illustrator to assist in creating visually appealing illustrations. This position offers the chance to engage in data analysis, problem-solving, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with experienced technical authors to develop and update automotive technical documentation, focusing on Electrical documents and product specifications.
    • Gather information from engineering teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of technical documents.
    • Utilise Adobe Illustrator to create engaging and visually appealing illustrations and diagrams for technical publications.
    • Support the Technical Author in maintaining terminology, translations, and documentation management systems, aligning all documents with Workshop manuals.
    • Conduct meticulous data analysis to ensure the precision and completeness of technical documentation.
    • Apply strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and provide effective solutions throughout the documentation process.
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, maintaining excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Efficiently manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required

    • Strong interest and passion for the automotive industry and its latest trends and technologies.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
    • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Proactive and collaborative approach to work, with a willingness to learn from experienced professionals in the team.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to understand complex technical concepts.

    Education:

    • A-Level in English or a demonstrated high level of written English proficiency.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field.

    Additional Information

    • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for creating high-quality technical illustrations and graphics would be an advantage.
    • Familiarity with Teamcenter or other product lifecycle management (PLM) software would be an advantage.
    • Knowledge of Capital software is an asset, but not mandatory for this position.
