We’re looking for the next generation of talented contributors to join our team for an unforgettable 10-week internship. An internship at Pearson is an opportunity to bring your own unique perspective as a learner, together with your knowledge, technical skills, and enthusiasm, to help deliver outcomes to learners across the globe.
As one of our interns, you will gain a comprehensive introduction to our business. You’ll be assigned to a team to support during our busy summer period. On-the-job training and professional development will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. You’ll also have direct access to a senior member of the team, as each intern will be mentored to help you make the most of the 10-week program. During your internship, you will gain valuable hands-on experience to build your resume to stand out with future employers.

What does the Internship Program offer?
Successful candidates will spend 10 weeks working with our Assessment & Qualifications Division in the summer months, a division that has end-to-end responsibility for delivering secure assessment materials and outcomes from Pearson to our customers.
You will be paid for the duration of your internship at a salary from £21K pro rata.
You will be eligible for benefits during this time like any other employee, such as discounts on learning resources, with some well-known high street brands and of course some pro-rata holiday.
Job description
Pearson is a diverse organization consisting of people from many areas of functional expertise located all over the world.
The General Qualification Assessment (GQA) department is part of the Pearson Schools Qualifications division. The department has end-to-end responsibility for delivering secure assessment materials and outcomes from Pearson to our customers.
The department consists of two operational teams, a test development team and a content team.
The Subject Coordinator (SC) will assist in the delivery of operations for specific subjects within the General Qualifications portfolio.
The SC reports to the Head of Subject working as part of a subject team, whose aim is to deliver a professional and customer focused service.
What does the 10 weeks involve?
Interns will ensure that the assessment processes that they support are carried out to a high standard in accordance with all appropriate internal policies and external regulations and can withstand scrutiny by internal audit and all stakeholders - including regulators, students, and parents.
We are looking for a range of students including those from non-traditional backgrounds. Some of the skills we are looking for include:
- A background in project management work experience or education is a plus
- Able to work to tight, and immoveable, deadlines
- Attention to detail even with repetitive tasks
- Flexibility of working patterns during peak periods
- Reacts positively to change
- Able to adapt to the challenges created by the introduction of new qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) or equivalent
- Simultaneously manage tasks for multiple examination series
- Demonstrated ability to function in a team setting, including contributing to a positive team environment
- Able to get to the designated Pearson worksite/office for this particular role. The role is hybrid which is generally 70% or so remote, working from home with the requirement to go into a Pearson office (London, Manchester, Oxford) as and when required.
- We are looking for students in their penultimate year of their degree.
