The department
The Best Practice Group is a collaborative, vibrant team that forms a conduit between the fee-earning teams and central business to deliver a culture of quality, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Best Practice Operations
The Best Practice Operations team is part of the Best Practice Group and is responsible for the firm's quality management systems, delivering operational business improvements and internal audit and regulatory record keeping.
Summary of role
We are looking for a Best Practice Assistant to provide administrative support to the various work streams in the Best Practice Group.
This is a varied front-line role offering the opportunity to interact with all areas of the business from central teams to legal practice areas.
Duties include
- Diary management, arranging meetings and maintaining BP calendars.
- Drafting and circulating meeting notes/minutes.
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
- Assist team members with physical file requests, file opening, file closures and incoming post.
- Submitting expenses claims for BP members.
- Dealing with payment requests for external payments required by the BP Group.
- Support the early stages of the claims process with guidance from the Best Practice Operations Specialist.
- Support the BP Operations Specialist with SRA/Compliance administrative processes.
- Support the BP Operations Specialist with My SRA tasks and data entry.
- Support the BP Operations Specialist with annual qualification monitoring of non SRA qualified staff.
- Supporting BP Operations Specialist with biannual Professional Information Update.
- Act as liaison on large data gathering exercises undertaken by the Best Practice Group.
- Support the Joiners and Leavers process across the Best practice Group.
- Conduct fact finding and data analysis tasks as per instructions from members of the BP Group.
- Intranet maintenance and development of Best Practice pages.
- Alongside other members of the BP Group produce training materials and videos as appropriate to support BP initiatives.
The firm operates a hybrid agile working policy allowing employees to work from home (or another UK location) for at least 50% of their time. Individuals can also apply for other flexible working options either at the time of recruitment or during the course of their employment.

They will liaise with all areas of the business, learn transferable skills and work within a friendly and supportive team.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous administrative experience. Experience in a legal environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
