    We are currently looking for an Engineering Graduate to join our Engineering Projects team on a 24-month graduate program to begin in September 2023.

    PepsiCo Graduate Programme is 2-year programme designed for high potential college graduates, just like you, to kick off your career in a real-life business impact role – with the goal to best prepare you for a successful future. The Engineering Graduate role will be challenging and diverse.

    It will give the successful candidate exposure and experience across various engineering and project management disciplines, as well as opportunities for interaction with Operations, suppliers, end-users and other third-party bodies. There will be opportunities to contribute and make a valued impact within the wider PepsiCo community also, through involvement in global programs and initiatives. Graduate development and mentoring will be key focus areas.

    Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the engineering graduate will support the delivery of the PepsiCo PGCS Base Capital Projects Agenda. They will support the development of business cases and Capex documents for funding approval. They will build their capability and develop subject matter expertise in key areas, which will contribute to building the overall capability of the Global Engineering Team.

    They will leverage this newfound knowledge and expertise by supporting the global network of sites in solving complex technical problems. They will contribute towards driving productivity, efficiency and best practice in all aspects of the business. They will ensure compliance to both internal and external regulations in all their engineering activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead/Support the end to end execution of Capital Engineering Projects (including business case development, understanding user requirements/scope, communications with key stakeholders, change management, considering safety, quality and risk)
    • Support the plants in the achievement of their KPIs through support of the productivity program
    • Understanding and supporting the development of Engineering and procurement standards, including technical and commercial aspects of projects
    • Building supplier relationships with key vendors, and understanding the role they play in the delivery of our Capital agenda
    • Understanding and implementing Change Management and its importance to the success of the project
    • Building an understanding of how to manage Change in a project, and the implications it brings to scope, budget and schedule
    • Learn and leverage the best practices from PepsiCo divisions as well as from other industries to support the delivery of best-in-class plant and equipment design, project implementation and construction management
    • Participate in Global Engineering Team meetings, share and leverage best practices from other PGCS sites
    • Learn and leverage latest cutting-edge technologies in key areas of the business
    • Learn how to present to and communicate with PGCS senior management for Capex Approvals & Project Updates
    • Learn to implement sustainable engineering practices, ensuring sustainability in plant design and operation
    • Interface and communication with the plant operations teams, to ensure seamless handover of projects
    • Build capability and develop subject matter expertise in key areas

    Qualifications

    • Degree qualification in Automation, Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
    • Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn and to actively contribute and add value in the following areas:
      • PGCS Engineering standards
      • Project concept development
      • Business case and capital approval
      • Design, Procurement and Installation
      • Construction, Commissioning and Validation
      • Environmental, health and safety management
      • Contractor and Construction Management
      • PGCS Quality, Regulatory, and Operational requirements
      • Generation of project documentation

      • Lean Six Sigma Projects
    • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to work at all levels in an international organization, both individually and as part of a multi-functional team
    • Excellent organisational, problem solving and analytical skills
    • Excellent IT skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Results oriented and commitment to achieving personal and project objectives
    • Self-starter
