    Responsibilities

    In this position you will support the Beverage and Foods businesses, as a member of PepsiCo Global Concentrate Solutions (PGCS). The role will report into leadership level within our Procurement function. The key accountabilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

    • Lead and deliver on key initiatives and projects in support of Category and Function Objectives
    • Drive and enable change initiatives on topics such as BCP, Speed To Market, supply resilience, cost benchmarking, productivity, digitalisation, analytics, market intelligence etc.
    • Perform in depth analysis for category spend including understanding of supply sources, supplier capability, industry economics, designs and technology, pricing, and duty/freight barriers;
    • Support supplier relationship management for spend while delivering against PGCS business objectives e.g. financial calendar and plan, PPV, productivity, cash contribution;
    • Support the management of the purchase of ingredients, technologies and flavours, ensuring competitive market prices;
    • Work hand in hand with PEP R&D & PGCS Supply Chain to develop and implement optimal sourcing strategies;
    • Partner with Global Procurement Centres of Excellence and Category teams in Market Supply Offices to help drive best practices and to leverage the ‘Power of One’ for savings opportunities;
    • Ensure raw materials sourced are in compliance with sourcing standards. Collaborate with Supplier Quality Assurance & R&D to maintain a Vendor Qualification / Approval Program and determine improvement needs across the supply chain.

    Qualifications

    Essential Criteria

    • Excellent communication skills with an ability to build relationships with a wide array of people of different cultural backgrounds, countries of origin, and organizational positions including the ability to manage and align stakeholders within a matrix organisation
    • Excellent project management skills with proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments
    • Proven ability for excellence in numeracy and strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
    • Ability to work in matrix organization; handle competing priorities; influence others to meet new product schedule needs
    • Possess strong business/commercial acumen allied with the ability to see bigger picture
    • Hold a bachelors degree in a numerical discipline e.g. accountancy, economics, engineering, scientific discipline, business, finance, supply chain etc.
    • Strong IT skills, including MS Office
    • Keen interest in understanding market forces/factors influencing the demand and supply of relevant categories.
    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

    Additional

    • Previous work experience in relevant organisations/industries (e.g. summer jobs, internships etc.) desirable but not required.
