    PepsiCo Internship Programme is 6 - 9 month program designed for high potential undergraduate students, just like you, into real life business impact roles – with the goal to best prepare you for a successful future. We are now looking to hire a Health & Safety Intern to join the team in our Carrigaline site.

    We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. We are at the heart of PepsiCo products, sourcing ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 recipes for our brands.

    Role Purpose and Primary Accountabilities

    • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the EHS Department by:
    • Proactively championing EHS, and safe working practices across the company’s activities and operations.
    • Working collaboratively and cross functionally with the various Departments by providing EHS updates, support and advice to colleagues.
    • Assisting with reporting, investigating and recording of accident, incident, near-miss and good catch data promptly, ensuring corrective actions are identified and tracked to implementation.
    • Conducting safety inspections and risk assessments as required, ensuring appropriate action plans in place
    • Supporting the EHS training programme by delivering safety induction and other EHS training for new and existing employees and maintaining training records.
    • Supporting the tracking and reporting of EHS KPI’s/ metrics
    • Updating and maintaining EHS documentation
    • Partnering with Departments to accomplish site EHS objectives
    • Actively participating in site EHS committee meetings.
    • Providing general support and assistance to the EHS Manager

    Qualifications

    • Undertaking a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) field or related discipline.
    • Good communication & analytical skills.
    • Team Player.
    • Excellent people skills.
    • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
    • Self-starter, self-sufficient and eager to learn.
    • Strong IT Skills in Word & Excel.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
