In the UK, Pernod Ricard is made up of 3 businesses:

  • Pernod Ricard UK, which markets, sells and distributes our products in the UK and also drives the global development of our iconic Gin brands through The Gin Hub
  • Chivas Brothers, the largest brand company in the Group, responsible for the production and management of our award-winning Scotch whisky portfolio
  • Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and EMEA home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.

Your new team

This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. As the world’s 2nd largest spirits market, the UK is a key location for our company. Since 2017 PRUK has also hosted The Gin Hub, the team responsible for managing the Group’s unrivalled portfolio of ‘Premium+’ International Gins globally.

The UK Off Trade encompasses grocery multiples, symbol groups, eCommerce as well as cash and carry wholesale routes to market. It is a highly competitive and concentrated market with large scale customers and competitors providing a fast paced and dynamic trading environment. The Off Trade is a data rich environment which enables a relatively sophisticated analytical approach to managing customers. The key dynamics include the continued growth of the grocery multiples, the growth of convenience and the development of digital platforms.

The UK market is a well-developed, competitive environment with a number of large competitors selling to very well developed trade segments. The On Trade consists of over 120,000 licensed premises supplied by a number of large national and many small regional wholesalers. Although the On Trade Channel in totality has been under pressure in recent years, the markets that Pernod Ricard operate in remain comparatively buoyant. Thus the channel is an important contributor to the profit of Pernod Ricard in the UK as well as playing a vital role in building the equity of our brands with consumers.

Your unique contribution

You will have three main areas of responsibility:

  • Managing Amazon’s content platform: become proficient at managing the content’s platform. Logging & responding to case logs to enable smooth business processes for NPD launches, cost changes, items descriptions and product image uploads.
  • Key Digital Projects: Build best in class online product content for Pernod Ricard’s full portfolio utilising personal creative skillset and in-house studio. Be responsible for the successful roll out & evaluation of key digital projects including reviews, content compliance tracking, A/B testing, and new technology. Curate & broadcast weekly progress updates capturing market activation and commentary to feed out to the business on key activations.
  • E-Commerce tracking: Support test and learn hypothesise with the quick sourcing of data from various customer platforms. Building small scale case studies on the impact of portfolio, media and promotion, sharing with the team a continual evaluation and understanding for marginal gains on subsequent campaigns. Develop with wider Digital labs and integrate touchpoints to build and optimise our Digital Consumer Experiences.

Who you’ll be working with

Internally, you’ll work with the marketing team, supply chain team, commercial.

Externally, you will work with Digital Lab leads, In House Studio.
