    What can I achieve and what will I be accountable for whilst completing a placement at Pfizer?

    Role Description

    Pfizer is seeking a colleague who is looking to gain and broaden their knowledge and development within a corporate Real Estate (RE) and Facilities Management (FM) environment.

    In return the successful candidate will be exposed to the business to enable the delivery of RE and FM across the EMEA and India region, this will including, but not limited to the following:

    • Assisting the respective GWS Regional Lead, RE & FM Lead, Risk Lead, etc
    • Gaining knowledge of Operational and Capital budgets across EMEA.
    • Partner on all regional related activities such as; Corporate Real Estate Database, Capital Projects including Workplace Strategies, Security, Business Continuity, etc.
    • Gain a comprehension of the Corporate Business Units and Enabling Function organisations to ascertain the strategic direction helping to translate this into a value proposition
    • Gain an appreciation of how to assess space supply and demand for all workgroups and to proactively anticipate changes.
    • Help look to balance concerns of business unit versus those of the overall organisation.
    • Develop and present business cases and value propositions in a coherent manner, whilst being guided by key professionals.
    • Learn about AWS (Alternative Workplace Strategies), Hybrid working, Flex-working, etc through close interaction and collaboration with the in-house Project Management and Workplace specialist
    • Help to provide co-ordination of all GWS services within each market
    • Provide rapid reaction to business units and customers needs.
    • Build new relationships with customers and GWS colleagues/partners.
    • Identify emerging customer needs and opportunities to provide value through best practices.
    • Develop relationships with GWS regional vendors for Facilities Management, Real Estate Transactions, Security, etc.
    • Attain customer satisfaction with GWS and vendor provided services through delivery of measurable results
    • Partner with GWS teams and ensure regional alignment with GWS Facilities Management strategic objectives.
    • Partner with Risk Management to protect and ensure business continuity within the region
    • Provide local liaison between GWS and other Pfizer Enabling Functions, including Global Procurement, Digital, Legal, HR and Finance.
    • Take on special projects and assignments, as necessary.

    • The intention is for the candidate to rotate within GWS between Operations, Projects, Risk Management and Real Estate

    Placements will start 4th September 2023 and will run for 12 months.

    Requirements

    Type of person we are looking for, in relation to 'Skills’, ‘Knowledge’ and ‘Motivation’:

    • Is the current student looking at completing placement year as part of a University Degree or Gap Year
    • Workings towards a Degree in a relevant discipline (preferably Facilities Management, Real Estate or Engineering)
    • Good Comunicator, second language would be a nice to have, but not essential
    • A strong cultural awareness of national diversity across the region
    • Well planned and organized
    • Ability to process map and identify a path forward
    • Good numerous skills
    • Team player

    Applicants must be completing placement as part of a degree course at a UK University, either through Year in Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year.
