Pfizer Worldwide Research and Development (WRD) recruit graduates in pharmacy each year into an exciting pharmacist training experience. The training comprises of six months at a Paydens Group community pharmacy and six months in the Pharmaceutical Sciences department at the Pfizer Sandwich site.

The year is designed to provide an integrated training programme, which covers all of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) performance standards and is intended to produce high-quality pharmacists with a working knowledge of industrial and community pharmacy.

What you'll do

During your time at Pfizer, you will be assigned a 3-4 month project within one of the Pharmaceutical Sciences departments. The placement may either be laboratory or non-laboratory based.  As a pre-registration pharmacist, you will be integrated into your departmental team and will get the opportunity to liaise with pharmacists and scientists in other disciplines while contributing to live projects.

  • Medical Information

During your clinical placement at Paydens, you will have the opportunity to gain all the relevant clinical GPhC competencies.

Your placement will also provide you with group learning days where you will be able to meet with other trainees and share knowledge.
