    Working as an Undergraduate Pharmacovigilance Process Analyst, you will work on product-related and non-product projects to support SPRR activities and safety processes, compliance activities and performance metrics.

    Responsibilities

    Your roles and opportunities may include a selection of the following:

    • Supporting Risk Management Committee meetings, including ensuring appropriate membership attendance, providing draft and final minutes, tracking actions.
    • Working with Process Analysts (PAs) and Safety Risk Leads (SRLs) to manage/maintain various Pfizer safety systems, including tools used for: tracking and evaluation of safety signals; monitoring of targeted medical events; monitoring safety signals in scientific literature; visualising and presenting safety data from ongoing clinical trials.
    • Leading and participating in ad-hoc projects to support and provide continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
    • Supporting a range of safety processes, which may include preparing and visualising data, updating and communicating safety information and documentation.
    • Supporting the safety monitoring activities of marketed products and those under clinical development.
    • Collaborating with global colleagues and building professional relationships using Pfizer’s digital tools.

    Skills you will develop may include the following:

    • Communication skills through liaising with colleagues.
    • Presentation skills when presenting work at meetings.
    • Organisational/prioritisation skills when working on a variety of projects/tasks.
    • Teamwork through partnership with various groups and individuals.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 applications and other safety systems.

    When can I start

    Placements will start on 4th September 2023 and will run for 12 months.

    Person Specification

    Type of person we are looking for, in relation to ‘Skills’, ‘Knowledge’ and ‘Motivation’:

    • Completing placement as part of University Degree either through Year In Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year
    • On target for a Degree Classification in a Science or Medical discipline.
    • Detail oriented, excellent organisation skills, independent, work to established timelines and ensure timelines are met.
    • Competent in office computer applications, including: MS Office applications, document management systems (e.g. SharePoint, Documentum).
    • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
    • Drive to lead and take part in collaborative working relationships within own team and across functions and global locations.
    • Must have the relevant authorisation to live and work in the UK.

    Who can apply

    Applicants must be completing placement as part of a degree course at a UK University, either through Year in Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year.
