    Our Newcastle Innovation Centre focuses on developing Products for Fabric Care and Home Care on brands such as Ariel, Fairy and Bold. We have Associate Researcher roles available for individuals who are inspired by hands-on experimentation and basic science, performing the basic and critical experimental work of day-to-day applied research. Work is predominantly execution/procedural oriented, e.g. in a lab, in a plant or pilot plant (internal or external), at a clinical site, with consumers, and/or on a computer. 

    If you have achieved a BSc in a scientific or engineering disciplines this could be an opportunity for you to join the P&G world of R&D. We also look for skills such as creativity, innovation, initiative, communication, leadership, and the ability to work with others.

    What to expect

    From the very start of your career in P&G R&D you will: 

    • Work on your own project(s), but as part of an overall project team;
    • Have an opportunity to put your technical skills to work on intellectually challenging problems;
    • Improve your team working and leadership skills through practical experience and interactive training courses;

    Job qualifications

    What we look for

    • Graduated with a Scientific or Engineering BSc (Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Forensic Science, Microbiology, Lab Management and Physical Sciences).
    • Evidence of passion and achievements in academic and/or non-academic activities.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and a strong passion for research and innovation.
    • Strong verbal and written English language skills.

    Start date is between January and March 2024. These roles are available in our Newcastle Innovation Centre for Fabric & Home Care.
