    Our Newcastle Innovation Centre focuses on developing Products for Fabric Care and Home Care on brands such as Ariel, Fairy and Bold. We are offering one year placement opportunities for Researchers studying a BSc Degree which will start in July 2024.

    We enrol students in their penultimate or final year of their BSc for scientific and engineering disciplines into the various roles in R&D, e.g. Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Forensic Science, Microbiology, Lab Management and Physical Sciences. We also look for skills such as creativity, innovation, initiative, communication, leadership, and the ability to work with others.

    This 1 year Internship is a period of mutual trial and an ideal way for you to gain industrial experience. It is also an opportunity for you to look at P&G as a potential future employer and for P&G to see your capabilities and fit for future roles at our Newcastle Innovation Centre for Fabric & Home Care.     What to expect

    During your 12-month placement you will get a first-hand experience of what a career in R&D with P&G involves, and if it is right for you. Each intern will:

    • Work on their own project(s), but as part of an overall project team;
    • Have an opportunity to put their technical skills to work on intellectually challenging problems;
    • Improve their team working and leadership skills through practical experience and interactive training courses;
    • Experience the working environment in a leading international company and
    • Gain guidance on their professional development.

    Full-time role

    Successful interns have the potential to secure a full-time non-management position with P&G after graduation.

    What we look for

    • Bachelor's students pursuing scientific or engineering degrees, graduating in 2024 or 2025.
    • Evidence of passion and achievements in academic and/or non-academic activities.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and a strong passion for research and innovation.
    • Strong verbal and written English language skills.

    Start date

    The internship's duration is from July 1st, 2024 until June 28th, 2025.

    This role is available in our UK Innovation Centre in Newcastle and aimed at students in their penultimate or final year of their BSc for scientific and engineering disciplines.
