    We’re currently recruiting for an Actuarial Summer Placement Student to join our Actuarial Services Team to execute specific and regular Actuarial processes.

    The position is an exciting opportunity to start a career in Finance gaining experience on the various aspects of a Finance function working in our Actuarial Reporting department.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To prepare and run necessary systems for quarterly valuations, project activity and other BAU activity in accordance with relevant reporting standards and business reporting requirements.
    • Production of various processes linked to our actuarial valuation model including collating and validating results from valuation runs.
    • Manipulation of excel spreadsheets and parameters to produce manual calculations for onward review by the Validation Actuaries.
    • Undertake project work to support the development of robust and effective financial reporting.
    • Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
    • Work closely with stakeholders across the business.
    • Support the on-going delivery of robust, effective and efficient operational finance processes and controls.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures and processes and maintain evidence/audit trail as required.
    • Participate in team discussions on areas such as key activities and deliverables.
    • Will escalate issues that have a high impact to the appropriate manager using the established governance frameworks.
