Our programme is open to students on a Quantity Surveying or similar undergraduate course, currently in either their second or third year of studies.
We will give you a unique insight of our ground-breaking Quantity Surveying team, providing valuable experience of what it is like to work on a wide range of projects across a variety of sectors. Pick Everard are proud to be working on a number of high-profile, historic projects across the United Kingdom, including prestigious and unique schemes that will provide a valuable challenge to the successful candidate.
You will be able to expand your skill set, working alongside established Quantity Surveyors and learn from them to put your studies into practice.

What you can expect
The summer placement programme is 6-8 weeks in length, so your focus will be to ensure each day counts. You will assist the Quantity Surveying Team with the management of key projects across an array of sectors to include healthcare, residential, commercial, leisure and defence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of Cost Estimates, cost plans and tender documents.
- Assist in the preparation of interim valuations of construction work for review by senior staff, including arithmetical checking
- Assist with the general support in the cost management and financial reporting of construction projects under direction of senior staff
- General administration assistance in connection with Quantity Surveying duties.
This summer placement offers students the opportunity to gain valuable understanding of employment, providing unique industry experience and a chance to make real, positive contributions.
Please note, we will be shortlisting candidates at the end of 2022, with a view to conducting interviews in February 2023.
About You
Pick Everard are looking for dynamic and dedicated students, who are currently in their second or third year of studies on a Quantity Surveying or similar course and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above.
We will look at more than just your academic results however, and will also consider your strengths, values, and motivations.
You must be able to demonstrate your strength of character, and your future aspirations within the industry.
