    The Role

    Piper Sandler is currently seeking a Customer Services/IT Operative to work in our technology business line in Aberdeen. You will work directly with business lines and other IT departments to ensure everything is running as expected. This includes but not limited to installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading corporate hardware and applications while ensuring optimal performance.

    Key responsibilities

    • Provide first level technical support to end users.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software & network issues to ensure timely resolution.
    • Collaborate with other team members to escalate issues and ensure a timely resolution for the end user.
    • Document and track all support requests a incidents in the Service now ticketing system, ensuring accurate record keeping.
    • Assist in the set up and configuration of hardware and software, including computers, printers, and mobiles.
    • Effective work on multiple tickets simultaneously.
    • Provide high quality technical instructions and guidance.
    • Provide updates on progress to end users.

    Requirements

    • Relevant degree / 6-12 months of experience
    • A strong understanding of customer service delivery in an IT environment
    • Great interpersonal and oral communication skills
    • Empathetic and customer focused - Be passionate about providing solutions to customer's IT issues
    • Tech Savvy - Be familiar with Microsoft Systems
    • Process driven - Keen to implement learnings to improve processes
    • Perform well under pressure by prioritising and multi-tasking accordingly

    What to expect at Piper Sandler

    • The Desktop support role is across all industries, based in our Aberdeen Office.
    • Contractual hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm.
    • The job can sometimes require flexibility to accommodate a fast-paced business needs.

    What qualities do you need in order to be considered for this role?

    Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience in working in helpdesk or desktop support and a passion for providing high-quality customer service, however, full training will be provided to the successful applicant.

    Your strengths include good written and verbal communication. You enjoy problem solving and is resilient searching for a solution.
