    The role

    Piper Sandler’s Healthcare Investment Banking team is one of the fastest growing and most active teams in the sector, with over 140 professionals globally. The team is a leading M&A advisor within the sector, having completed 170+ healthcare M&A transactions over the last 5 years with an aggregated value of over $60bn. Due to a strong deal flow, the European Healthcare team within Investment Banking is now seeking a highly motivated placement student to join them.

    We are currently looking for an Intern for our Healthcare team, in our London office. This is a 6-month internship/fixed term contract with a view to start in August / September 2023.

    This internship is open to students who are in their penultimate year or have recently graduated. Candidates must have necessary Right to Work in the UK.

    Responsibilities

    • Assisting with the preparation of marketing pitches / project documentation
    • Conducting business valuation analysis
    • Preparing financial projection models
    • Analysing companies’ historical projected financial performance
    • Project Administration

    The training

    We have a proven track record of developing our staff and this includes our placement students.

    We provide placement students with an intensive and comprehensive training programme on commencement of employment.

    Placement students will work with senior bankers across a variety of different transaction types and advisory assignments such as mergers & acquisitions (both buyside and sellside) and capital advisory projects, covering areas such as:

    • Valuations
    • Financial models
    • Deal Processes.
