We supply tyres to many of the world’s major Motor brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, Porsche, Range Rover, Lamborghini, Bentley and Aston Martin to name a few.
Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd is the company responsible for all of the Pirelli Tyre related operations in the UK.
A 12 month placement opportunity has become available within our semi-finishing Department in Carlisle.
Role duties include
- Support with department admin tasks such as confirming compounds to be produced for other Pirelli factories
- Ordering and tracking of transports
- Support with the planning of Banbury mixers with a view to improving efficiency
- Ordering and control of ingredients
- Supervision of specification changes to ensure materials are controlled and co-ordinated
- Support with the liaison with other Pirelli factories and head office to co-ordinate intercompany materials shipments
- Analysis of production data and key performance indicators to support continuous improvement
- Creating purchase orders as required
- Extensive use of Excel, SAP etc.
- Control of a work-based project
The successful candidate should have the ability of
- Studying for a business related degree
- Excellent administrative skills
- Teamwork, also able to work alone and unsupervised.
- Good verbal and written communication skills required for frequent use of telephone/e-mails.
- Proficient with MS Office (especially Microsoft Excel)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Adaptability/Flexibility
- Manual dexterity
- Good time keeping
- Team Player
- Proficiency with MS Excel (Training opportunity will be provided accordingly)
- Good communication skills, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- A full clean driving licence (desirable but not essential)
The opportunity is based at our site in Carlisle, Cumbria.
