    A mechanical summer placement at Renishaw offers you the chance to work on real engineering projects that can involve elements of, for instance, component design and modelling, process design, dynamic analysis, design for manufacture, mechanisms and control, and experimental design verification.

    Using the latest software applications, in-house development processes, technologies and practical skills can give a real insight into engineering business and how Renishaw develops and manufactures innovative new products.

    Your placement will involve working on live projects under the mentorship of our senior managers. As well as gaining hands on experience, you will have the opportunity to connect with people working in the business and discuss your career ambitions and ideas with employees in similar roles.

    Applications are encouraged from bright, highly motivated individuals who are excited by engineering. Renishaw engineers tend to be innovative, organised and passionate about their work both as an individual and as a team member and we are looking for people with similar skills and passion.     Where will I be working

    This role is based at our New Mills headquarters near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire, you may on occasion be required to travel to other Renishaw sites for work. As Renishaw is based in a semi-rural location, it is essential that applicants have their own form of transport or be willing to relocate to the local area.
