    The medical devices summer placement is suitable for students who have a keen interest in medical device development and working within the healthcare sector.

    This placement offers you the chance to learn more about what a career in medical devices (specifically those intended for neurosurgical applications) really means and provides an excellent insight into wide range of activities involved in the development of medical devices, from concept to regulatory approval and ultimately, placement on the market.

    You will be encouraged to participate in the relevant areas; product design/development, process improvement, quality, regulatory, change control and clinical aspects.

    You will have the opportunity to connect with people working in the business and discuss your career ambitions and ideas with employees in similar roles. A successful placement provides an excellent opportunity for you to be considered for our Industrial Placement and Graduate schemes in the future.

    What skills and experience do I need

    You must be:

    • Studying at degree level in a STEM subject
    • Have an interest in working with medical devices
    • Be enthusiastic, motivated and have an ambitious nature

    If you have the right aptitude and appetite, you will have the opportunity to make a positive and lasting impact during the placement.

    Where will I be working

    This role is based at our Charfield site near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire, you may on occasion be required to travel to other Renishaw sites for work. As Renishaw is based in a semi-rural location, it is essential that applicants have their own form of transport or be willing to relocate to the local area.
