Purpose of the Role
This new position as the Finance Team scales, as our Accounts Assistant, you will help in supporting the finance operations of the business. Your close attention to detail and time management skills will assist in the accurate and concise processing of financial transactions.
Key Accountabilities
Invoice Processing:
- Receive, review, and validation of invoices
- Enter invoice details into the accounting system
Purchase Order Matching:
- Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders and receiving documentation to verify the accuracy of billed items and quantities.
Reconciliations:
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable Support:
- Assist in the reconciliation of payments from our clients
Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain reports on financial transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other related activities.
- Generate reports to assist in month-end and year-end financial closing.
Support for Month-End Close:
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Administrative Tasks:
- Providing general administrative support to the finance team, such as filing, data organisation, and document management.
Experience
- A degree or studying in accounting, finance (ACA/ACCA)
- Aptitude for learning and developing further in your financial career
- Clear Communication skills
- High Attention to detail
- Ability to work as a part of a team but to use initiative when required
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment
