As a Finance Analyst you will join us on our journey and undertake a valuable role responsible for the provision of support for the Senior Finance Business Partner for IT Change in the collation, consolidation, review and reporting of robust financial forecasts for the CIO portfolio projects. Key skills required to deliver this support will include strong communication skills and effective business partnering with IT project managers.
What you'll do
Principle accountabilities will include, meet all monthly reporting deadlines, as required to support the SPM Head of Finance in the review, finalisation, and presentation of forecast information for SPM. Provision of business partnering support to IT project managers on financial processes and procedures, including business case templates and resource requests and support Project Managers to drive accuracy in reporting and forecasting. Review of actual costs each period to facilitate the preparation and submission of accrual, prepayment, and cost transfer journals. Finance Support for the forecasting/budgeting process and uploading the forecast and budgets into Anaplan. Request the creation of new project codes in the accounting system as new projects arise and support line manager with ad hoc financial analysis and presentations. Production of balance sheet reconciliations for accruals and prepayments. Investigate and resolve day to day financial management issues, with the support of Project Managers and Finance, and with the ability to carry out detailed transactional analysis as necessary.

What you’ll need to succeed
- Previous experience of supporting projects in a fast-paced environment
- Part qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience within Technology.
- Understanding of journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Strong communication skills to drive effective business relationships.
- Strong Excel skills
