POWER Engineers is currently seeking a talented structural or electrical engineering student for a 4-month co-op term. Under the guidance of experienced staff, the successful candidate will support the design of overhead transmission lines, structures, foundations, and their related facilities.
Required education/experience
- Pursuit of a university degree in structural, or electrical engineering or other related discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidate is interested in consulting engineering and the electric utility industry.
- Candidate is legally authorized to work permanently in Canada without the need for work sponsorship.
Desired education/experience
- Minimum of a 3.3 GPA.
- Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for successful completion of tasks.
- Ideal preparatory coursework can include Excel, Word, steel design, foundation design, and T-Line electrical topics..
- Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to electrical and/or structural engineering, is desirable.
