We are recruiting for a Stores & Supply Chain Assistant

Duties and responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to...
- Purchase and distribute parts and materials to specification using the correct process
- Complete quality inspection of delivered goods and document
- Update cost analysis on all suppliers in a timely manner
- Co-ordinate the collection, delivery and transportation of parts, materials and returned goods
- Support the maintenance of company vehicles including MOT, servicing and repair ensuring compliance with lease conditions and regulations. Also ensure vehicles are available when required and booking process is followed
- Liaise with insurance companies including, arranging vehicle insurance, dealing with claims and changes to drivers and vehicles
- Replenish stock to agreed levels
- Support regular stock checks to ensure accuracy of stock levels and appropriate levels of stock holding
- Update and adjust the stores catalogue
- Co-ordination of contractors whilst they are in the office building to ensure they comply with all Company requirements
- Order and oversee the provision of PPE, tools, and tool sets, including management of the budget, allocation, registration, and return. Ensure adequate stock levels are always maintained
- For all deliveries, promptly receipt and store goods, ensuring that the stores are tidy, organised and well maintained
- Organise the picking, packaging, and logistics of materials so that they are available at the required time
- Operate forklift loading and unloading goods in and out of the stores
- Booking transport of pallets and parcels
- Complete Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) administration tasks for the Stores such as Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) in collaboration with the SHEQ team
- Support waste disposal process including metal, copper, cable, hazardous waste and cardboard
- Support the management of hired equipment
- Undertake training and inspections (e.g. harnesses, ladders, PPE)
- Ensure purchasing process is followed by all site staff
- Ensure all tools, equipment and materials are pre-arranged and inspected prior to arrival to site
- Deputise for Supply Chain & Logistics Manager when they are not available
- Ensure all tools, equipment and material are kept in good working order and any defects rectified in a timely manner
- Build and maintain relationships with our clients and supply chain partners
- Proactively identify any health and safety issues and remedy
- Proactively suggest improvements and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) as appropriate.
- Identify any potential issues/delays and escalate as appropriate
- Provide proactive support and guidance to all parties on compliance with statutory requirements and Company standards
- Comply with all Company policies, procedures and guidelines at all times
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained at all times, especially with regard to health and safety
- Proactively look at ways to enhance the service offered by the business, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of company processes
- Maintain a professional image at all times

Here’s what you need to be successful in the role
- Proven attention to detail and able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
- A team player with a confident and enthusiastic attitude
- Proficient in the use of computer systems and Microsoft suite
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work within the UK without limitation
- Open to change, resilient and proactive
