As an Assistant Accountant you will coordinate, analyse and present key data to track the manufacturing Operational performance.
This role will focus on the execution of several reports, which will require attention to details and knowledge of financial metrics to support the goals of the business. The role requires interaction with several stakeholders in various functions up to senior management level.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting the Financial controller with month-end reporting and business partnering
- Preparing and posting journals for accruals and adjustments as required
- To provide analysis of Purchase Price Variances and production batch variances
- To analyse and investigate financial variances, and to be able to present these back to non-financial stakeholders in an easy-to-understand way.
- Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes with accompanying analysis.
- Support annual audit requests.
- Input into identifying improvements to standard finance processes and help to improve these
Qualifications
- Currently in their 2nd year of university studying for a degree in a related field (Accounting & Finance, Business with Finance etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to details
- Strong Excel skills
- Able to work to strict deadlines even when under pressure.
- Strong team player, work effectively within a team environment and autonomously.
- Strong communicator both written and verbally
