    As a Process Engineer (Undergraduate Placement Scheme), you will focus on delivering improvements to existing processes, introduce new or modified processes and minimise process losses and waste.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implement process improvements to support Strategic Improvement Initiatives such as Right First Time and Material Efficiency.
    • Provide process support with batch issues, adjustments, quality hazards, rejects and complaints.
    • Facilitate problem solving teams for repetitive batch issues.
    • Support with laboratory testing and analysis to meet business needs.
    • Demonstrate a flexible approach and deputise for other team members where necessary.
    • Introduce new or modified processes and supervise batches where required.
    • Liaise multi-functionally and build good working relationships with others.
    • Introduce and modify process instructions, recipes, routings, costings, batch sizes etc using the Oracle system.
    • Provide process support with new and existing equipment.

    Qualifications

    • Studying for an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent (Crucial)!
    • Self-motivated and possess strong interpersonal skills.
    • Good IT knowledge and skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
    • Experience of leading improvement projects and problem solving (Desirable).
    • Knowledge and/or experience in a laboratory testing environment (Desirable).
